Mark Morisseau
Since the age of 7 Mark Morisseau has carried on his family's long tradition of musicianship. Manitoba's multi-award winning fidler has a catalog of songs and albums that basically defines fiddle music in western Canada.
Drawing from his Metis roots, Mark has taught musicians like Sierra Noble and the Gaudry Boys and played with Doc Walker.
Mark and his Band are now a Friday night tradition at the Carberry Heritage Festival providing music for the Old-Time Dance in the Community Hall.
SWAMP GAS
What's a Swamp Gas?
Swamp Gas is a Neepawa, Manitoba based band formed in 2003. They play acoustic folk, Irish, and East Coast music. Their playlist consists of toe tapping traditional tunes, old familiar sing-a-long favorites, and contemporary numbers full of lively energy.
Tired of playing in their own basements and living rooms to various household pets, they decided to go public in 2003. They invite audience participation to round out their sound.
